A service area checker is a small box on your website where a customer types their city or municipality. It checks that name against the list of areas you cover and answers right away: yes, you come to them, or not yet. It runs before the customer sends a message or fills in a form.
Most service sites only list their areas at the bottom of the page. Customers have to read it, guess if their place counts, and often just message you to ask. The checker gives them a straight answer instead.
How the service area checker works on your site
The customer types their city or municipality, or taps one of the examples. If it’s on your list, they see “Yes!” and the button takes them to your quote or visit request.
If it isn’t, they see “Not yet” and a button that says “Tell me when you get here.” They leave their name and mobile number, and the request comes to you by email with the area they typed. Each one is saved too.
It doesn’t need a map, a location prompt or an outside service. The page checks what they typed against your list.
What happens with out-of-area visitors
Without a checker, people outside your area still message you, and each one takes a reply just to say no. With the waitlist, you see which places keep asking for you, and when you expand, you already have people to contact there.
