A demo, not a client
Bahay Luz is a sample site we built to show what a Redstack restaurant website looks like. The restaurant is fictional: the address, phone number, prices and reviews are placeholders and the photography is AI-generated. Every page says so in the footer. What is real is the build: the same stack, structure and standards every client site gets.
The brief we set ourselves
A homey, sit-down Filipino restaurant serving the food of a Pampanga family kitchen, family-style. The site had to make a hungry visitor want to come in, answer the practical questions fast, and turn group meals and catering into enquiries.
How the site is organised
- A hero that leads with the dining room and the food, with the phone number and the main call to action above the fold
- The menu as real, readable text, not a PDF
- Six ways to eat (dine-in, silog mornings, kamayan feasts, party trays, catering and more), each with its own page
- Areas served for catering and delivery, plus FAQs and sample reviews
- A "Plan a Feast" form for kamayan bookings, party trays and catering
Designed for the niche
A soft, heavy serif in the spirit of lutong-bahay shop signs, a capiz-cream and annatto-red palette, and a woven banig strip as the divider. Built on Astro and Sanity, so the owner can change the menu, prices and photos themselves.
