The brief

A+ HVAC and Refrigeration serves homes and businesses across the Chicago suburbs with heating, cooling and commercial refrigeration repairs. The owner already runs A+ Appliance Repair and Maintenance, and wanted the HVAC brand to have a site of its own: same look customers already recognise, accurate HVAC content, and bookings flowing into the Housecall Pro account both businesses share.

The site had to do one job well: convince someone with a broken furnace or a failing walk-in cooler that this is the company to call, and make calling or booking the easiest thing on the page.

What we built

A fast, fully static site on Astro with Sanity as the CMS, so the client can edit services, areas and copy without touching code. The homepage keeps the design the client already had, rebuilt on the new stack at their request, with the content corrected to what A+ HVAC actually does and where.

Nine service pages cover air conditioning repair, maintenance and installation, furnace repair, heating maintenance and installation, walk-in cooler repair, walk-in freezer repair and commercial refrigeration repair. Ten service-area pages cover Des Plaines and the surrounding suburbs, from Chicago and Park Ridge out to Naperville and Barrington. Reviews, FAQs, about and privacy pages round it out.

Every service page leads with the offer, booking and the phone number, then the proof.

Every screen pairs the same two actions: Easy Online Booking, which opens the Housecall Pro scheduler, and a click-to-call button showing the number. There is no on-site enquiry form, by the client's choice, because booking replaces it. Trust signals sit next to every ask: the Google rating, licensing and insurance, background-checked technicians, and real photos from the field rather than stock.

One page per suburb, written for that suburb, so the site can rank for local searches across the whole coverage area.

The outcome

The site is live at hvacaplus.com and serves every page as static HTML with no third-party form or chat scripts. Measured on 9 September 2026 with Lighthouse on mobile: the homepage scores 92 for performance and 100 for SEO and best practices, and the furnace repair page scores 98 for performance. Content changes publish from Sanity without a developer.
