Roof replacement estimate calculator for your roofing website

A roofing estimate calculator lets a homeowner see a rough re-roofing price range on your website before they message you. They set the roof area in square metres, the pitch, storeys and roofing type, and the range comes from your own rates. Try the demo below.

What is a roofing estimate calculator?

It’s a short tool on your website that turns a few answers into a re-roofing price range. The homeowner sets the roof area in square metres, picks the pitch, storeys and roofing type, and sees a ballpark from your price per square metre. Then they request an ocular inspection so you can confirm the real cost.

It doesn’t measure the roof from photos. It runs on what the homeowner enters and the rates you give us, so it always shows a range and says the final price comes after your inspection.

How the re-roofing estimate works

The homeowner drags a slider to the roof area in square metres. They pick the pitch (low, medium or steep), one to three storeys, and a roofing type: GI sheets, long span, asphalt shingles or stone-coated steel.

Your price per square metre for that roofing type sets the base. Steeper roofs and extra storeys add your adjustment, and your minimum job size sets the floor. The result shows as a low to high range.

When they request an inspection, they leave their name, address and mobile number. You get an email with everything they picked and the range they saw, and each request is saved.

Should you show re-roofing prices online?

You can’t give a final price without seeing the roof. Rusted purlins, sagging trusses and old gutters all change the job. But homeowners still want a rough figure before they book an ocular, and many will keep searching until someone gives them one.

A range gives them that figure without tying you to it. When typhoon season has everyone checking their roofs at once, it also means fewer back-and-forth messages asking how much.

Built on your rates

The demo prices are examples. On your site we use your own price per square metre for each roofing type, your adjustments for steep roofs and extra storeys, and your minimum job. Gutters, insulation, ceiling repair or truss work can be options with their own cost.

It lives inside your own roofing website, matches your design and sends requests straight to you. We build forms that email you and save each request. We don’t build a CRM or a booking calendar. See other tools in our website features, or check pricing.

What it does for your business

  • Answers the first question

Homeowners get a rough re-roofing figure on your site instead of messaging five contractors to ask.

  • Roofing types side by side

Switching from GI sheets to long span or stone-coated steel shows the difference, so better materials come up on their own.

  • Better ocular inspections

You see the roof area, pitch, roofing type and range they saw before you arrive.

Frequently Asked Questions

How the roof replacement estimate calculator works on your site.

How accurate is the re-roofing estimate?

It’s a ballpark. It uses the homeowner’s roof area and your rates, so it can’t see rusted purlins or damaged trusses. That’s why it shows a range and the final price comes after your ocular inspection.

What if the homeowner doesn’t know their roof area?

Many won’t know it exactly. The range still gives them a starting point, and your ocular inspection gets the true measurement. We can add a short tip on the page to help them guess.

Can I use my own price per square metre?

Yes. We set it up with your price for each roofing type, your adjustments for pitch and storeys, and your minimum job. Send new rates any time and we update them.

Can it include gutters, insulation or ceiling repair?

Yes. Any service you price can be added as an option with its own cost, or left out so you quote it at the inspection.

Where do the inspection requests go?

Straight to your email, with the homeowner’s name, address, mobile number and everything they picked. Each request is also saved.

What does it cost to add?

It’s part of a website build. Our pricing page lists the packages, or get in touch and tell us how you price re-roofing.
